SCI-FUN 2016-17
Sci fun is an activity based programme which was launched in September 2011 to popularize science in secondary schools in Goa. Sponsored by The Department of Science and Technology
We aim to enhance the Knowledge of students through Hands on activities.
The whole program is inspired by Mr. ARVIND GUPTA’s ideas, planned and organised by Associate professor of GVM’S Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education,Dr.ANNA NEENA GEORGE.
In this programme, we emphasize on using throw away waste to make objects through which scientific concepts can b understood and visualized.
We also show some of The interesting demonstrations and explain them to students which makes understanding the concepts easier.
MY EXPERIENCE
I would like to thank my ma'am Dr. Anna Neena George for giving me opportunity to participate in Sci-Fun Program.
I participated for Sci-Fun program in 4 schools viz .MIBK High School, Pragati High School, Government High School Sadar Ponda and Sakharam Gude High School. I performed classroom demonstration in one school and common demonstrations in rest 3 schools.
This program has helped me a lot to improve my teaching skills. It also improved my communication skills, also helped me for making the teaching aids and also to learn more about student-teacher relationship.
