Block Teaching

Before block teaching there was micro-teaching, peer teaching and practice teaching.

Block teaching was the first time I faced the students, I did my block teaching in G.V.M's Pragati Vidyalaya Borim-Ponda Goa. Block Teaching made me more confident and improve relationship with my students.


PEER TEACHING
For peer teaching 2 lessons were given of duration 20 mins each. The experience prepared me for block teaching and improved my communication skills below are the lesson plans

LESSON ONE 
Lesson was taught for class 6 on "Air Around Us" 
Specifications:- More emphasis was given on students response. Examples that were taken were from day today life for better understanding.

LESSON TWO
Lesson was taught for class 7 on "Nutrition in Animals".
Specifications :- Working Model on human digestive system and Flannel cuttings on parts of Human digestive system were prepared. This lesson improved by chalkboard work and time management skills.

BLOCK TEACHING

1. CLASSROOM LESSON

Classroom lesson was taught for class 7 on "Physical and Chemical Changes" where children were introduced to physical changes and characteristics of physical changes were discussed.
Specifications:- Different day today life materials were taken to class and special card-sheets were taken along with worksheets. It was fun in channelizing students excitement

2. LAB LESSON

Lab lesson was taught for class 7 on topic "Acid, Bases and Salts" 
Specifications:- where in they were taught about indicators i.e. Litmus as Natural Indicators. Natural acids and bases were used. Handling the lab apparatus and arrangement was best part.
